Send Research Files

Data, spreadsheets, studies, and the digging you have already done. Drop it here.

A lot of good reporting starts with somebody else’s homework. If you have built a spreadsheet, pulled years of meeting minutes, compared budgets, collected records from several towns, or found a study that deserves a closer look, Granite State Report wants to see it.

What fits here

  • Data sets and spreadsheets, in any format
  • Studies, audits, and reports, published or not
  • Your own analysis, notes, timelines, or maps
  • Collections of records you already gathered, with where each came from

A line on where the material came from and what it shows saves time, but nothing has to be typed. If it names people who did not agree to be named, black those names out first with the free Redact Before You Send tool. A tip about something that has not been researched yet belongs on Send a Tip, and government records you received belong in the Archive drop box.

The editor reads every submission. How your information is handled, and the limits of what any newsroom can promise a source, are on the Send a Tip page.
